Background
It was a goal of mine to have a full GV design sprint within my first year at Igloo. I wanted to give all departments across the company the opportunity to participate in product design and appreciate how much could be accomplished in one week of intense focus.
What I did

Recruited team members from Support, Development, Customer Success, Solutions Consulting, Graphic Design and Product Strategy to participate in the 5 day sprint.

Hired an external consultant to facilitate the session. He was able to provide an unbiased perspective to our discussions and keep us on track with the rigorous schedule over the 5 days.

Blogged daily on the activities and accomplishments of each day to invite the company to follow along. It allowed the company to participate and have insight into what was happening as it unfolded. It increased the level of buy-in and got people excited about a different way of how the product could be designed.

Delivered a prototype with the team by the end of the week that was a huge success among the customers that participated in the usability testing. We were able to clearly confirm our hypotheses and also learn about additional opportunities beyond what we had time to create.
