We learned through regular discovery that many customers were leveraging our data to perform further manual analysis and benchmarking. The workflow involved manual data export by Alert Labs followed by customers using their own spreadsheet templates. I quickly identified opportunities to not only streamline workflows, but also to surface automated functionality that demonstrated ROI and increase visibility to stakeholders within customer organizations.
What I did
- First surfaced bulk export capabilities to customers to remove Alert Labs involvement and to learn more about their data and reporting needs
- Interviewed customers to understand the types of analysis and frequency of data exports being performed and what they were attempting to accomplish
- Discovered opportunities to not only streamline what used to be hours of manual effort into several clicks, but also introduced the ability to increase visibility via scheduling automated delivery of reports to desired stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Expanded report types to meet customers needs across different customers based on Sales discovery insights that has unlocked new markets and hundreds of thousands of dollars in new sales
